[Mythic Ambiance - Shen]

Good effort

You can tell a lot of effort is put into a song when it goes on for so long with such elaborate effects. At first it seemed a little bit atonal, but the chord progression eventually shows itself and it is very nice! The effects were well mastered, the song gets a ten for clarity and effort for sure ^__^ It would have been cool if it kicked in harder, but then again that's probably not what you were aiming for because I get the impression that you're pretty capable. Some things I really liked: The soft drum thing and the piano.

This sounds like it could be some kind of sci-fi soundtrack. :D

This song is great. It starts out a little slowly, but damn when it kicks in with a lot of layers it kicks ass! :D It's very original sounding, not bad at all. I really like when the chords and the bass guitar came in, that part is the best. ^_^

It's hard to pin down exactly what this sounds like to me. It's a very original mix. I liked it a lot until the sytrus preset came in D: The melodies were good but the synth is really way too loud. Your song sounds really great with all the other instruments though. As more tracks enter it balances out more. Nice song, it has a cool contemplative feel to it.

Also, I was loving those guitar pitch bends towards the beginning where you don't really know where the song is going, but then it resolves to a correct chord.

The song is nice but it has a very synthesized feel for a classical piece. It's possible to create very nice classical sounds with soundfonts, you should take a look around and see if you can find any ones you like. Other then that though, the song is really great. It's nice to hear composers who compose whatever they want by ear and then stick with it. You came up with some really neat stuff. I also like the story behind the song too ^_^ :D

Huh well I happen to have over a gig of space on my computer dedicated to sound fonts and I tried to use the best ones i had....but if you could direct me to some good FREE (I don't have a credit card you know) sound fonts then I will gladly download them, and use them.

Until then please try not to be too critical the sound fonts I use.

Beethoven

This has the potential to be a sick dance track, but it sounds like crap when you just throw low-quality and unleveled synths onto it. You could make this into a heavy techno song with some drums and harmony, right now it's dry and a slight bit of painful.

Hip hop indeed :D

I cant say this doesn't sound like hip hop. The drums were good, especially the kick drum. The main melodies were nice as well.

The trance didn't come into play until around halfway through, but it's was very nice when it did. You're a talented composer and an even better mixer. It's always good to see writers on Newgrounds that understand the basics of a good song.

[Brain Fluid (Demo)]

Very good

The opening of this song is great. The effects are perfectly mastered and very professional sounding. This reminds me of Pendulum, certainly music like this is not to be taken lightly. It is obvious that this song was made with tons of effort. The instruments, effects, and drums are all very clear.

I did seem to miss the face slapping though :0

Nice

It's interesting to picture what kind of character is represented by this song ^_^ Sort of a lonely, angsty type of character. Regardless of how far off I am, this song certainly conveys a good sense of emotion.

As far as the technical aspect, I would have used a nicer instrument for the chords, something that sounds a little smoother and maybe not so muddy. Other then that, good work :D

[Sky Hi]

It has potential

Nice chord progression and instruments. You picked them out well :D I liked the melodies, they were pleasing and interesting. A little repetitive at first, but it sets a good trancy mood. My only complaint would be that the tracks don't seem mastered all that well, I would tweak the volume to better perfect the sound and reduce any distortion.
