Awesome

I love this so far. The only thing is that those high chords can seem a little bit harsh when they're pounding on with the same notes for so long.

It was alright

Pretty cool, but you could find some of your chords and rearrange them by placing the 1,3rd, and 5th notes more spread out or in different inversions. I think that could make the notes clearer.

Great!

This is really amazing. Keep it up!

Look down

Really great

I forgot how good your music is! It sounds very real indeed, and I was wondering: what plugins/instrument packs are you using nowadays?

You need to turn down the master volume.

You can tell the song is too loud because the sound quality takes a hit with every single kick. The volume meter is maxed out! You can very clearly hear the kick drum forcing the rest of the song down every beat. You could fix this a number of ways:

Turn down the master volume (not preferred).
Use an equalizer or filter to get every instrument into it's own frequency range where it won't interfere with the others (preferred).

Aside from that I liked the intro.

Mrmilkcarton responds:

Your not seeing the technical part of the song. Yes the kick is a tad over powering but its not affecting anything that I didn't try. Theres this thing called side chaining. Now I have been playing with side chains for a while now and wanted to see the power it would have on a lead. Every time you hear a kick the volume will slide on my lead making it seem like its part of the beat to have full effect it would be turned down fast and then brought up fast.

If my kick were truly over powering things you would hear would be distortion and clipping. None of these occur. Download this Mp3 put it in a sequencer and look at the wave lengths all you want. Yes the DB meter is hitting the top of the meter but if you don't turn the volume up after mix and master no one will hear it.

Yes the quality has taken a hit in the song but it's not as bad as you make it seem. If my kick were forcing everything else down you would notice, it only forces the lead down.

Very good

I rated it a five because the composition and the mixing are both good. Not a lot of people around here can do that. I liked the diverse effects and drums. While it's a little downbeat compared to most DnB, it's still really good. The only I suggestion I really have is a less abrupt ending.

Good

This composition is very good. I would work now on improving the quality of the instruments and the mixing. The mid-range background instruments are very loud and overwhelm the melodies. Some fine-tuning of the different volumes could give the song a lot more dimension and emotion.

Mattimeeleo responds:

Ahh... Thank you for the tips. I would get on it right away!

Ahahaha amazing

I basically hate people who use the word "faggot" but the song was so good that I had to forgive you and vote 5/5. You should make a record but good luck finding a publisher hahaha.

Used samples

If you are going to make a song using the samples from fruity loops I would at least pick better ones than simsynth. The song was kind of cool though.

KhaosSniper responds:

I didn't know wut to make and these sounded cool so I just made somethin short w/ em'. but the hats, drums and guitar are all me.

Good

The drums were very good. It was all pretty good but I wouldn't have made it 5 minutes long. It was very repetitive.

boney-man responds:

Most DnB has a second drop that's basically the same as the first, making the song around 5-6 minutes long.

Check out my audio portal page! My account used to be poo_on_you, but I thought it was time for a refreshing change. Plus, my music is a lot better now.
